Commidea win 'Payment Solution Award'
The UK’s first fully integrated Contactless EPoS solution from Commidea has scooped the Payment Solution Award at the prestigious European Retail Solutions Awards (ERSA).
The award was jointly awarded to Commidea, Verifone, Common Sense EPoS and sandwich retailer EAT, which was the first retailer to install the revolutionary system that allows customers to pay for transactions of £10 and under, simply by waving a ‘touch n go’ credit card against a Verifone QX110 contactless reader. It is a system that has dramatically reduced queue waiting times and enhanced the overall customer experience.
The integrated Chip & PIN and contactless Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) solution was installed at EAT’s Moorgate branch by Commidea and Common Sense EPoS Ltd and enables EAT to select the method of payment that customers want to use – either cash, Chip and PIN or contactless.

The European Retail Solutions Awards were held at Old Billingsgate Market, London, on 25th June and assembled the UK’s leading payment processing providers to contest 13 highly coveted categories.
